Wee Man’
The sickly one-eyed Chihuahua was found wandering the streets of Whitehead by local resident Lynne Wilson. He was clearly a poorly animal and spent the next few days at Hollygate Veterinary being treated for his ailments. Whilst he was recovering Lynne made daily enquiries about his health and it was clear the pair had bonded during their first brief meeting.A feisty and fit Wee Man was inevitably re-homed by Lynne and is now a well-known celebrity in the town.

Misty
I have settled happily in my new home. I get a walk every morning across the promenade and back through Marine Gardens. There is an enclosed garden where I can run and play safely and I have squeaky toys to stop me being bored. I am very content. My name has been changed from Buttons to Misty. Thank you for finding me this new home.

Saved from a puppy farm!
Rescued from of a County Down puppy farm the last twelve months have transformed ‘Hamish’s’ life from incarceration in an unlit outbuilding into a life of indulgence with his new family. Reading the Blake family letter has given the welfare officers involved in the rescue of an anonymous and exploited animal a real boost and a renewed determination to address the evil of puppy farming. “When we first got him he shied away from humans and cowered in the corner.” Amazingly it took only a few weeks to house train him. “Hamish is now an important member of our family and finding him was well worth the queue at Carryduff.” “On behalf of Hamish and the Blake family we thank you, without USPCA intervention our little dog was condemned to a brief life of misery.”
